Only one song on their belt (that we have heard) and this San Francisco Glitchhop duo is already nabbing the wanting ears of music lovers the net over.
Their song ‘Super Impose’ is a slow burn in the beginning, one that you take in and as you progress further you begin to experience all of its lush, electronic sheen. The song is a perfect marriage between Glitch, Indie and Electronic music. Singer, Swan, has a hypnotic voice that only adds to the already pristine, well produced soundscape that Pair Of Arrows has presented to us. Enjoy, Humans.
They are edgy, they are lush, moody, dancey, they are draped in Electronic clothing colored the deepest black. They are Hussle Club and their single ‘Night Society’ was given the remix treatment(s) not too long ago by the likes of a dubstep DJ, Designer Drugs and Com Truise.
A side note gem of information to the music masses: People familiar with the band name, Cruel Black Dove, will surely recognize HC’s female bassist extraordinaire, Shirley Ho, who fits perfectly into the mix and is definitely passionate about her craft.
If you love post punk era music, if you love electronics and synths, if you were one of the many people to worship at the feet of Depeche Mode and NIN, then you will surely find a welcome home or quite possibly a comfortable spot to sit for a bit in Hussle Club’s sound. After hearing the remix, check them out on other internet platforms.
Brooklyn based duo Hank & Cupcakes are at it again. An assortment of performances in the states, London and their Israeli homeland. Liquid Mercury is the new single off of their much anticipated album release. Check it out, Humans and while you are at it show them some love online as well.

Roman Zolanski or Performance Cope Out?
It isn’t a new practice in the music business. Performers have been known to be bored and discontent with their persona’s and so they create new ones that will allow them the opportunity to act like fools. The practice is a definite split-down-the-middle/hit or miss situation. The newly created personality allows the artist to say “It wasn’t me It was my alter ego” when things go bad. Though it can be liberating and entertaining for the performer…this practice can be abused and in recent times it has appeared more often.
Artists the likes of Christina Aguilera (Xtina), Beyonce (Sasha Fierce) have done such things and as of last night at a very embarrassing performance at The Grammy’s by Roman Zolanski aka Nicki Minaj (aka. Onika Tanya Maraj)…it is obvious to me that some artists have no clue. The focus is put off from the music and put purely on the shock value of things.
David Bowie introduced us to the psychedelic-androgynous, Ziggy Stardust, who surely in his time raised some eyebrows but for some stands as a glowing example of how it can potentially be done right. Ziggy did not stay with us very long but his presence left a small mark on Earth before he returned with his giant space spiders.
I suppose these things, like all music are subjective to the viewing audience but I myself feel that we need to get back to basics. If the music is not good enough to begin with then no amount of psycho-sexual fanfare is going to make a difference. Here is to the real artist in this great wide world of music.
Humans, what are your thoughts about this topic?

Electric Chariot - Nothing Matters
The Phenomenal Handclap Band - The Right One
Off their upcoming sophomore album “Form & Control” out February 13th on Tummy Touch Records.
The Phenomenal Handclap Band are funky, hip and sexy. Their follow up release efforts first single is “The Right One”. The video is full of weird images that would be welcomed in any chemical bros-esque video as well as a party consisting of mind altering substances. Funk+Space Imagery= Good times
They became a household name after their single “Bruises” was featured during Apple’s iPod Nano commercials back in 2008. Since then the Brooklyn-based band has had their fair share of success as well as internal issues, but have managed to restructure and refocus their energy towards a goal. That goal being their new album ‘Something’. For your listening pleasure I bring you the track straight from that album and suggest that you make your way to checking out this album fully.
“I Belong In Your Arms” is synthetic and human. It is personal and honest. It is dancey and driving. It is catchy and familiar. I strongly believe that Chairlift has built some sort of time machine and brought back a huge crate of gear from the 1980s to pull off this song. There might be repercussions because of their actions, but I think it was worth messing with the space time continuum. Great Scott! Enjoy Humans.
